Meeting my mentor

Xiran walked into the school, wondering what she was supposed to do. Was there someone to report to? A...leader or principal or something?
Whatever this place was, she came to see if it was a truly safe place for mutants. She picked up Devian and put him on her shoulder. He mewed, but Xiran hushed him, sensing someone was near.

Greetings, child. Said a voice from inside of her mind. From behind her, sat a bald man in a wheel chair and green business casual suit. At his left was a tall, muscular man with brown hair and red sunglasses on. To his right was a rather showy, beautiful blonde with icy blue eyes so cold, they seemed to pierce through your very soul.

"Who are you?" Xiran asked, holding her claws at her side, ready to scratch.

A friend. The man in the wheelchair said without opening his mouth. And I know who you are, Xiran.

Xiran looked from the wheelchair man to the man and woman by him. She eased her hand down to her side. "You must be Xavier," she said, "but who are they?"

He turned to the man with the glasses. "This is Scott Summers. You may call him Cyclops," He then turned to the rather attractive woman in white. "And this is his partner, Ms. Frost."
"You may call me Emma," She said, with a sly smile.

Xiran clenched her fist, but loosened it once she caught the faint smell of blood. "I wanted to talk to you about enrolling here. This is a place for 'Gifted Youngsters', right?" She touched the hat she wore, covering her ears.

Xavier looked at her. "You may not join here."
Emma Frost looked a t her for a reaction. She knew exactly what the Professor was thinking.. Literally.

"And why not?" Xiran kept her fingers on her hat, staring at the group.

Xavier wheeled away from her, and the other two adults.
Emma bit her lip. "You must be proud of your mutant heritage.. ALL of it."

"And I am. I wanted to make sure this was the right kind of...'Gifted' place. You know, for Mutants." Xiran took off her hat, revealing her cat ears. She rustled her hair a bit-she never liked hats much.

"Follow me," Xavier called, smirking to himself.

Xiran was hesitant at first, but followed him. She wondered how big this place was, seeing the many classroom doors and staircases, but kept her sight on Xavier and going to wherever he was taking her.
